Zen

My boss gave another coworker a Zen calendar for on her desk. I don't get it. I try. I try really hard. I think they are neat to read, but I just can't wrap my head around it. What am I missing? I try to be well read and well versed. I love to learn. But I just don't "get" Zen.

There is nothing you can see that is not a flower; there is nothing you can think that is not the moon. ~Basho

Nothing is exactly as it seems, nor is it otherwise. ~Alan Watts

I have spent hours over the last several days, reading different verses and quotes. I absolutely love some of them...and others...I am just left scratching my head.

  1. Try not thinking about what it means and just let the words flow over you... ;) "Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home" ~Basho

Btw, we've actually talked about having a Miller gathering at some point... definitely lots more people than my family though, so it's a bigger commitment - lol.

  2. LOL! Everyday I read her "quote for the day" and most times I am left to stare blankly into space!

Yes, there tends to be a lot of people when we all get together, but it would be so much fun!
